CitySaver launches city by city — never all at once. Every launch starts with a Lead CityServant who gets the vision, has a passion for it, and wants to get it done. Ideally, this person would bring a team together to build it, operate it and invest into it. This page is for them.
What it means to bring CitySaver to a city
Bringing CitySaver to a city means customizing a version of CitySaver/CitySavior for your town. Imagine that it’s like a skeleton with a nervous system, all connected and standing there ready to go (Dry bones – Ezekiel 37), but we need someone to put flesh on the bones and breathe life into it (rise up dry bones) so that it can live and operate and prosper. We’ve done our prophetic part by speaking that which is not as if it is – we built it. But now you have to do your part by breathing life into it for your city. That means loading local information, selling ads, promoting it around town, moderating discussions, approving coupons and all the other details that go along with it. CitySaver provides the platform and the playbook; the city provides the people and the life.
What a city needs before launch
- At least one committed Lead CityServant who will tend the space.
- A starting circle of residents willing to post and respond to real needs.
- A few local partners — businesses, churches, or nonprofits — who want in early.
- Enough local knowledge to seed resources, events, and city stories. Or volunteers from the Historical Society or the Archives or the Museum to post information about the city.
- A launch package may be by the seat of your pants or it may include making some initial investment in shirts, hats, bumper stickers, flyers, table tents and/or online marketing.
Suggested starter roles
- Lead CityServant — the local anchor: welcomes neighbors, tends the space, and keeps things healthy. Must be someone that hears God and has a passion for the restoration of His Bride. Not factious. Doesn’t have a need to be right. Patient, kind, long-suffering, loving. If not already, will be ordained by The Church of Liberty for this work. May not be the most computer savvy, but will have to learn how it all works or having someone that can handle the technology side for them.
- CityServant Volunteers — local residents ready to respond when needs are posted or to moderate discussion boards, load up resources, etc.
- CityServant Workers – these are potentially paid positions to sell advertising, to process sales, etc. Although this is a nonprofit, it WILL generate money that can be use to help people as needed.
- Local businesses — early directory members who support city life and pay to advertise.
- Churches and nonprofits — service partners, often through CitySavior.
- CityStorytellers — people who capture city lore, milestones, and outcomes and share it with the online community.
- Beta Testers — neighbors who try everything first and tell us what’s broken or spelled wrong or doesn’t work as it should.
What happens first
Tell us about your city. We’ll talk through where it is today, who’s ready to help, and what a realistic launch looks like. All of this operates under The Church of Liberty – and while it’s not a “franchise,” there are certain contractual expectations so as not to hurt the whole. We’ll need to be in agreement about those and the fundamentals of faith. We’ll do whatever we can, either here in Liberty or remotely, if necessary, to prepare you for this, to help you hear God and to help you populate the site before you launch. We’ll look at a launch strategy and timing for your town, gather the starting team, beta test it and then open the doors when it’s ready.
